Heartbreaker Blog Hop

Welcome to my contribution to the Heartbreaker Blog Hop. A special thanks to Carrie Ann for making this hop possible.

Whether you love or hate Valentine's Day, you'll get a chuckle out of my take on the lover's holiday - Dodging Cupid. My hero, Del might come off as a bad boy heartbreaker, but he's really a heart melter. Me, I prefer to be romanced every day of the year by my hero, or at least every other day. Not necessarily with flowers and chocolates, but with compliments, accolades and oil changes, among other things. I have nothing against the once-a-year-February-14th homage to Saint Valentine, or flowers, or even chocolate. Bring it on.

What's your take on Valentine's Day? Love it? Hate it? Take it or leave it? Tell me how you really feel and I'll enter you into a random drawing for an e-copy of Dodging Cupid. Don't forget to leave me your email address.

And please share the love this Valentine's Day by hopping over to visit the other Heartbreaker Blog Hop authors. This hop has big prizes and little prizes and GRAND prizes ->

We have THREE grand prizes. You as a reader can go to EACH blog and comment with your email address and be entered to win. Yep, you can enter over 200 times!

Now what are those prizes?

2nd Grand Prize: A $100 Amazon or B&N Gift Card

After a string of disastrous Valentine’s Days, broken hearts and failed relationships, Jenna’s decided to spend this Valentine’s Day in the least romantic spot possible—the coin-op laundry. No flowers. No candy. No annoying couples or romance of any kind. The only glitch in her plan is the leather-clad biker in heart-print boxer shorts who walks in as her washer starts. This just might turn out to be the best Valentine’s Day Jenna’s ever had.

  3. I hate it, but I think that if I had a man it would be a different story.
Thanks for the giveaway and participating in the hop!
I think that Christian Grey from "50 Shades of Grey" is a good example of a heartbreaker. He used and abused Ana at first, but then came to his senses by book two.

    1. For me it's no different with a man. I doubt my husband is aware that V-Day is right around the corner, Meghan.

  5. usually I have little interest in Singles Awareness Day. It is a nice excuse to slip away and read!

For me the heartbreaker is a bad boy who goes kicking and screaming into love! When he falls he falls hard!

The only heartbreakers I have encountered are literary! And my all time fav is Mr Darcy! Although, I am currently crushing on Zadist from the Black Dagger Brotherhood!

  6. To me a heartbreaker is someone who doesn't know how good and special he really is underneath that “Bad Boy” persona. When he falls in love, he falls hard. He is the guy that doesn't realize that his actions have broken your heart....But, when he does realize it, he takes immediate action to correct the misunderstanding and convince you he really does love you and no one else! :)

My favorite heartbreaker is Smitty from the book "The Beast In Him" by Shelly Laurenston. He was both. He was just drop dead gorgeous and sexy and he broke Jessie Ann's heart when he wouldn't claim her with "the Smith mate maul" If you want to know what the heck I'm talking about.......READ THE BOOK. :) In fact I recommend you read the series.

Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win. <^_^>

  14. I don't mind something small on Vday or going out for dinner. Sometimes flowers are just nice no matter when. LOL. But I'd rather stay in and cuddle and see where that goes then go out. My hubs does lots of little things that surprises me and he knows I'm addicted to the candy hearts. Okay, we are both addicted to those things.

  25. For me, I love Valentine's Day not because of the commercialization of it, but for what it stands for as far as showing those you love that they really are special to you. Each year my husband and I try to do something special for our kids with a scavenger hunt. They look forward to this holiday because of our tradition. We end up getting them cute little things and it makes them happy. also since we only have one daughter and four sons, my husband always get something a little special for our girl and someday she is going to probably demand diamonds because of this. not sure we should be spoiling her this way. i feel bad for her husband that is going to have to keep up with the tradition some day. Good thing she is only 3 right now and thats a long way off.
Thanks for taking part in the blog hop.
